How to Color Your Hair in an Ombre Hairstyle
Ombre means the gradation or colour shade in French. This is the development of hair tone from dark roots to its ends which are light toned. This is low maintenance colour which can save trips to your salon for any root touch ups, and is easily done at home.
This look is also carefree and inexact, so this is quite difficult to botch. Just be sure that you choose the right hair dye, which will depend on whether your hair is already highlighted or not, natural.
Trying to lighten your colored hair at home can really result in surprising hair colour changes and chemical damages. In case your hair is highlighted, then you just need to dye the roots darker.
You just need to part your hair down the middle and also behind both ears in order to make three hair sections. Clip back all of your hair behind your ears, and clip the front sections separately.
You need to apply Vaseline to your hairline so as to protect your skin from staining by the dye. Also, you need to spread a thin layer just across the entire hairline near the root. Mix your hair colour just according to the directions.
Apply the dye wisely to the roots. The colours should be the most focused on the root, so you don’t need to reapply color more than one inch from your hair roots.
Make sure that you use tint brush to spread the colour down. Next, you need to apply permanent hair tone to the tips in order to lighten the ends for dramatic look. Just don’t attempt to lighten your colored hair.
