How to Highlight Hair Different Colors
Highlights in your hair can really make you look slightly younger, conceal grey hairs, brighten facial features, or simply give you’re a new appearance.
When you highlight your hair, it is important that you stay within three shades lighter than is your natural hair tone.
Using three or two of the colours which are not recommended for your hair tone, instead of just a highlight tone, may create the soundest look. Highlighting your own hair will help you to save money and help you to brush up on hair coloring skills.
First you need to choose two or three colours that you want the most as your highlight colour on your hair. Get each dye mixture ready to be used in your hair. Afterward, streak the mix, which alternates between each colour, on small strands all over your hair.
You can start ¼ inch from the scalp and then go all the way down to the end of your strand.
Start on a side of your head and alternative the tones, which highlights small strips on your hair close to each other till you get to the other side of the head. Just make sure that you use all the colours in your bangs, too. Allow the dye to soak into the hair.
Lastly, wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner mixture which came in the kit. You can then rinse you’re the mix and towel dry it. Just don’t wash your hair again for four days to assure that the dye has soaked into your hair.
